BASKETBALL -- Our small basketball court is ideal for practicing your jump shot or for a serious game of "Horse."
BIKE RENTALS -- Sturdy, safe bicycles in various sizes and shapes are available for rental through our front desk and guest services staff. Free delivery and pick-up are included in your service.
BIRDING -- In addition to the often-seen quail, roadrunner, and hummingbird, guests can view the many species of birds who call the Ranch home. Our "Birds on Smoke Tree Ranch" booklet, available at the front desk, is a wonderful guide.
CROQUET -- Play a friendly game of Golf Croquet, Arizona Quick Croquet, or the standard American Six Wicket game, while experiencing breathtaking desert and mountain views. Backyard Croquet equipment is available for our younger crowd.
FITNESS CENTER -- Our fitness center offers good, solid equipment, great views, entertainment by TV/DVD, and a pleasant atmosphere for those who require a healthy work-out while away from home.
HIKING TRAILS -- Our self-guided Desert Plant Walk allows you to experience more than 30 species of native desert plants on our Ranch property. Walkers and joggers can also enjoy well-maintained hiking trails on our 350 acres of natural desert. More serious enthusiasts may depart from our west gate to hike beautiful Smoke Tree Mountain and the surrounding area.
HORSESHOES -- This old-fashioned setting is the location for a fun activity which can include the entire family.
KAMP KAWEA -- During busy weekends and over holiday periods, we offer organized activities for children as part of our Kamp Kawea program. Kids enjoy activities such as scavenger hunts, outdoor games, field trips, water sports, pony rides, rock climbing, bike parades, surprise guests, and nature hikes. Evenings are filled with special theme dinners, moonlight pool parties, bonfires, movies, magic, family bingo, and more! |

KIDS' PLAYGROUND -- Sound equipment and comfortable park benches contribute to the environment of our old-fashioned kids' playground. LAWN BOWLING -- Smoke Tree is privileged to own one of the finest lawn bowling greens in Southern California. The game offers the opportunity to be outdoors enjoying fresh air and fun exercise. Our guest services staff will be happy to give you a brief lesson, after which you are sure to be "hooked."
TENNIS -- Our Tennis Director and tennis pros are happy to arrange matches for you, as well as tournaments, clinics, and lessons, on any of our seven newly-resurfaced courts or our two new clay courts. Our Pro-Shop is fully stocked with state-of-the-art equipment and the latest in tennis fashions.
SPA SERVICES -- Our Front Desk and Guest Services staff is happy to arrange for massage therapy, manicures, pedicures, and facials, in the comfort and privacy of your cottage.
STABLES -- A visit to Smoke Tree Ranch is enhanced by an enjoyable morning or afternoon at Smoke Tree Stables, located on the southwest corner of our Ranch property. K.C. Johnson and his experienced wranglers will match you to the best horse for your riding level, and they will lead you on the tour of your choice.
DESERT GOLF -- Our quaint little three-hole golf course offers an ideal opportunity to practice or play a short game while enjoying spectacular mountain and desert views. The three well-manicured holes range in distance from 90-100 yards. Clubs, practice golf balls, and tees are available from the front desk at no charge.
SWIMMING POOL & HOT TUB -- Our Olympic-size, temperature-controlled outdoor pool is ideal for swimming laps, "cutting edge" water aerobics, or an old-fashioned game of Marco Polo. Our newly-remodeled pool deck & poolside Kiva Bar is wonderful for relaxing, soaking up the sun, and socializing with other Smoke Tree Ranch guests. |
